Embodying Digital Form with Felt
An interlocking system was designed based on material traits of wool felt and was assigned to a dome, using parametric software. The ideas was to create a weaving system that the joints require no glue or any other form of attachment. Physical models were made in 2 different scales to test the rigidity of the material in relation to its thickness. This interlocking joint system can be further developed to design clothing, temporary enclosures or screens.
