Braid- An Acoustical solution for Leanplum office, San Francisco CA

 

Leanplum office spaces commissioned us to design a unique and effective custom acoustical solution for their main conference room. The pattern is created by twisting rectangular pieces of 1/2" wool felt. The twisting idea came from digital twisting command in Rhino but it translated flat into simple rectangles, so there was no need for digital fabrication. The making of this installation was very cost effective and the client decided to use the pattern for other rooms as well.

This initial pattern was further developed into a modular| angular system by Citydot Studio ( the designer of the office space) to relate to the angular design of the other rooms in the office. Photos by Bruce Demonte
