Nicknamed by the home owners as "Bird House," this single family old house in West Berkeley was raised to make the first floor legal and usable. MVS designed the entire house from scratch, for a family of 4. Working closely with the home owners, we kept the roof as existing, as well as the footprint of the house. We completely redesigned the 2 levels to customize to the family needs. All the exterior facades were also designed from scratch to give the house a hole new identity.
