Fabric in Tension

This suspended surface is a light weight curtain designed by the material properties of fabric and in response to the environmental forces. The flat laser cut rigid fabric formed into 3dimentional shapes by applied tension at their joints. The degree of tension can be modified throughout the model manually. The overall  surface deformation defines another layer of variation to the system.

The laser cutting method, makes the curved score line possible in the component which allows the “curved folds.”
