Plywood Igloo: A Deployable Dome

This dome is a quick assembly structure that can be stored and shipped. It is perfect for kids summer play house, meditation space and any other temporary event. It is designed as an interlocking joint system, using plywood. The ratio between the thickness of the plywood and the size of the dome should be maintained to allow the bendability. This scale dome is laser cut from 1/8” plywood, using a 24”x18” laser bed. It can be scaled up if a larger bed available using 1/4" plywood.
