Futuristic Partition Wall, SXSW 2014

This partition wall was designed for an exhibition of futuristic technologies, such as 3D printers, virtual reality devices, etc., taking place at SXSW in 2014. 

The client wanted to divide different areas of the exhibition with partition walls that were made with technological process and expressed a futuristic environment. The challenge was to design and fabricate the object and ship it in a package. The form is developed in Rhino and Grasshopper and fabricated from polypropylene sheets. Once they arrive to destination in flat pieces, they get assembled around a collapsible structure. The dimensions of this prototype is 9'x9'.

The exhibition was a part of a movie premiere, which was decided by the producers will not become a hit movie, the show was canceled and this project remained a prototype.
